Architecture

One server, three services

Modalities talk DICOM to the node on 11112. Browsers talk HTTP/S to the application, which also serves the viewer — same origin, so there is no CORS configuration and no separate web server to maintain.

Requirements

What you need to have ready

LicensingSigned, node-locked licence file validated offline — no internet connection required. Entitlements cover connected modality count and modality types, with optional modules per licence.

Rollout

From installer to first read

A typical department is receiving studies the same day. The order matters more than the effort — each step is a configuration change, not a project.

Install

One installer on one machine brings up the DICOM node, the application and the worker against your PostgreSQL and storage path.

Register modalities

Add each device by AE title, IP and port from the browser, then C-ECHO it to confirm connectivity — no service call.

Connect the RIS

Point order push at the REST API so orders reach the modality worklist, and wire one-click study launch back into your RIS/EHR.
04

Go live

Create users, assign roles, enable TLS, and read the first study in a browser tab on the workstations you already have.
